Please note that we do not accept cats that are not neutered over the age of eight months.
Cats should be treated for worms and fleas at least two weeks before arrival. All cats that show signs of infestation on arrival or develop problems during their stay will be treated. The costs will be added to your final bill.
Cats must be fully vaccinated against cat flu and feline enteritis. Up-to-date vaccination certificates are required on or just before arrival. Certificates may be scanned or photographed and emailed to hedgerowscattery@btinternet.com or sent by other social media applications. Inspection viewings
We aim to feed cats the diets they are familiar with and at times that you would usually provide them. We will supply quality dry and wet food in line with your requirements.
Please advise us of any special dietary needs before arrival. If your cat requires any specialist or prescription diet, you will be required to bring it with you.
If your cat shows any signs of illness whilst in our care, we will contact you or your emergency contact number to seek direction.
We reserve the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon if we feel this is in the best interest of your cat and act as your representative for any decisions that need to be taken for the health and welfare of your cat.
During your cat's stay
Please contact us immediately if you cannot collect your cat on the agreed date. Extra days of boarding will incur additional charges.
If cats are left in our care and not collected as arranged, steps will be taken to re-home them after seven days.

Insurance
You are encouraged to obtain pet insurance before bringing your cat to Hedgerows Cattery. By using our service, you acknowledge and accept full responsibility for the payment or reimbursement of all veterinary fees and medical expenses arising during your cat's stay that are not covered by our insurance policy.
Our insurance covers vet's fees up to £1250 per cat per stay subject to terms and conditions. Our insurance policy does not cover pre-existing medical conditions and should be declared on your reservation request and confirmed on arrival.
Please tell us about your cat's special dietary needs when you make your reservation and again on arrival.
Pre-existing medical conditions are not covered by our insurance policy and must be declared upon arrival. Cats will be examined upon arrival, and any medical conditions will be discussed along with any medication to be administered. Cats are accepted into our care on the understanding that they are in good health. We reserve the right to refuse to board any cat showing signs of illness, pending advice from a veterinary surgeon.
We encourage owners to bring along toys, bedding or other items their cat may like to make their stay more enjoyable and give them some familiar smells and objects.
